The Charitable Youth for Nation Building initiative team travelled from various parts of Nigeria including Ibadan to serve food to the children of the Free the Child Margaret orphanage located in Iwo.
The team was in the office as early as 5am and had all food items purchased, cooked and ready for departure by 8am. The team headed for the orphanage by 9am.
Upon arrival, they were warmly received by the children who had been eagerly waiting on their arrival. Looking forward to a special for the holidays.
A welcome address was given by the Founder of Free The Child Orphanage Margaret Home Mrs Adisa in person who warmly welcomed the team. Mrs Adisa’s address was followed by a speech from the chairman of CYBNI. It was a speech discussing the mission, vision for the Charitable Youth for Nation Building Initiative and how their mission is instrumental for the development of the Nation by helping the needy, lobbying for funds and sponsors for the Orphanage and helping the youth develop their strength and rise above limitations. Many more programs and plans that CYNBI intends to to undertake were discussed. With that the speeches came to a close
The children then sang beautiful songs as they waited to receive food supplies and gifts that CYBNI had prepared for them. The CYBNI team shared a meal with the children distributed supplies and presents. At the end of the meal, there an interactive session between the children and the CYBNI team in which the children openly discussed their domestic needs and financial needs. The morning ended with the CYBNI team promising to do everything they could to help the children from the orphanage.
It was a successful day of ministry and made tremendous impact on the children.
The joy in the eyes of those little children can never be quantified.
Small contributions made by a collective mean so much and go along in building our community.
